Big Bird and The Iron Shiek will take centre stage as the Hot Docs Film Festival announced the 14 documentary features that will be part of the Special Presentations program at the 2014 Hot Docs Festival, which will run from April 24th to May 4th.

The full Special Presentations program, and complete selection of Hot Docs 2014 films, will be announced on March 18th.

Two highly-talked about titles include "I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story," which includes an incredible archive of home videos telling the story of Caroll Spinney, who reveals how a big heart and unstoppable talent created two of the world’s most beloved Muppets: Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. The other, "The Shiek," which profiles Khosrow Vaziri’s transformation from Olympic wrestler to American pop culture icon.

A complete listing of the films that will be featured can be found at the Hot Docs' website.
