Last year, "The Walking Dead" co-executive producer and zombie makeup effects mastermind Greg Nicotero got the chance to direct a six part web series called "Torn Apart;" which told the story of the "Bicycle Girl" from the pilot episode. Starting next month, Nicotero gets to tell another story set in that universe.

USA Today broke the story about a new "Walking Dead" web series, which is set to debut on Monday, October 1. Nicotero will once again direct the web series, which is called "Cold Storage." The series will be released in four minute episodes with each one running for approximately five minutes.

AMC's official description of "Cold Storage" states that it "tells the story of a young man, Chase (Josh Stewart), trying to reach his sister in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. He finds temporary shelter in a storage facility run by a former employee named B.J. (Daniel Roebuck); however, things are not what they appear.

Roebuck had a minor (but memorable) role in the first season of "Lost" as Doc Arzt, while Stewart is best known for his stint on "Third Watch" and guest appearances on "No Ordinary Family" and an upcoming episode of "Grimm."

As for "The Walking Dead" season 3, it will begin on Sunday, October 14 on AMC.
