Podcast Review: Wikipedia Brown!

We review the podcast that can make you an instant expert in anything.

This week at CRAVE we listened to a new, up-and-coming comedy podcast, Wikipedia Brown – and it’s one hell of a good listen. Host Allan Chaykin and guests (Sina Grace, Grant Pardee) throw on their geek specs and take on whatever topic they feel like pulling up on the website that has everything, Wikipedia.

Chances are if you’re reading this review on CRAVE, then you’re probably a little nerdy yourself. And what nerd doesn’t love background information, passionate discussion, and useless trivia? Past episodes include discussion on all things Disney, Stan Lee, and even Zombies.  What’s not to love about all those things!?! You'll go from a novice to ace in no time.

What sets WB apart from all the rest is it’s informative nature, dry comedic delivery, and the fact that the show is actually about SOMETHING, as opposed to the popular comedy podcast trend of just bringing on your comic friends and trying to figure who can say “fuck” the most times (Not that they’re anything wrong with that, but in the land of comedy podcasts – the one that can sustain is king). It’s an funny and irreverent take on society’s reliance on the internet to educate ourselves.

Bottom Line: If you’re looking to gain a little insight while you listen and have a laugh, then this is the podcast you’ve been waiting for. Discussion, comedy, and knowlegde ASSEMBLE!
