Much like a walker in the dark, the third season of "The Walking Dead" has crept up on viewers ahead of its return next month.
Picking up sometime after the events of the second season finale, "The Walking Dead" season 3 finds Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group of survivors struggling to survive after the loss of the farm. As hinted in the closing seconds of the season 2 finale, Rick and his friends discover a prison that may be their best hope of sanctuary in the new world. However, they may not be the only ones who want it for themselves.
AMC has released a new teaser trailer for "The Walking Dead" season 3 that shows Rick, Glenn (Steven Yeun), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and T-Dog (IronE Singleton) attempting to clear out the walkers inside the prison as well as a glimpse of Rick's strained relationship with his wife, Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies). We also see newcomer, Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Andrea (Laurie Holden) as they end up in Woodbury, the town controlled by The Governor (David Morrissey).
"The Walking Dead" season 3 will kick off on Sunday, October 14 on AMC.
