Early next year, the "Spartacus" saga on Starz will come to its conclusion with "Spartacus: War of the Damned."

Liam McIntyre will once again reprise his role as Spartacus as the story jumps ahead in time for its final season. When we catch up with Spartacus and his band of escaped warriors, their numbers have grown to over 30,000, making them an even greater threat to Rome than ever before. However, the Romans have dispatched Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells) and Gaius Julius Caesar (Todd Lasance) to put down Spartacus' rebellion… and they may prove to be his most formidable foes to date.

Although the premiere of "War of the Damned" is months away, Starz has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette that examines how the sets for the series are created in addition to giving fans a taste of the dramatic increase in scope during the coming season. "War of the Damned" stars McIntyre, Dustin Clare, Dan Feuerriegel and Cynthia Addi-Robinson weigh in on the new sets alongside Executive Visual Effects Supervisor Charlie McClellan, Production Designer Iain Aitken, Executive Producer Rob Tapert and "Spartacus" creator, Steven S. DeKnight.

"Spartacus: War of the Damned" will debut in January 2013, only on Starz.
