During last Sunday’s episode of “True Blood,” Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare) and his new lover, Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) decided to go out for some Greek food… and so they slaughtered everyone inside a college fraternity house. Subsequently, Russell angrily ended his association with the Authority over their unwillingness to learn the secrets of Daywalking from the blood of the faeries.
But just because Russell left the Authority behind doesn't mean that he's done causing problems for them. In the first clip from this week’s episode, a representative from the U.S. military confronts the Authority with evidence of Russell’s latest crime… which seems to unnerve some of the vampires.
And in the second clip from this week’s episode, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) realizes that Russell and Steve will soon attack Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) because of Steve’s obsession with Jason and Russell’s desire for the blood of Jason’s sister, Sookie Stackhouse ( Anna Paquin). When her maker, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) seems uninterested in acting to save them, Jessica makes a desperate offer of her own…
As always, HBO’s synopsis for this week’s episode has plenty of spoilers, so keep that in mind before reading!
To help Sookie look into an ancient family secret, Maurella and Claude take her to meet the faerie elder. Jessica becomes an unwilling participant in Bill's ongoing religious conversion. The military uses a damning video of Russell and Steve Newlin as ammunition to deliver an ultimatum to the Authority. Alcide reconnects with his father. Sam and Luna hitch a ride into the Authority.
Don’t missing the penultimate episode of "True Blood" season 5, this Sunday on HBO!
