In the first season of “Homeland,” CIA Agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) destroyed her life while attempting to prove that rescued prisoner of war, Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) was under the sway of deadly terrorist named Abu Nazir (Navid Negahban).

More than once, Carrie crossed several ethical boundaries to learn the truth and she even started an affair with Brody before eventually falling for him… hard. Meanwhile, Carrie’s bi-polar condition caused everyone around her to doubt her sanity until finally, even Carrie didn’t trust herself.

But in the closing moments of the season finale, Carrie finally remembered a key piece of info linking Brody to Nazir right before she underwent electro-shock therapy… as she desperately tried to hold on to the knowledge.

Up to this point, Showtime hasn’t shown off much footage from the second season of “Homeland.” But earlier today, the premium network finally released a full trailer set to a cover of “Every Breath You Take” by Scala & Kolacny Brothers (a Belgian Women’s choir).

And while the new trailer doesn’t spoil too much, we apparently see a newly confident Carrie meeting a surprised Brody at an unknown location.

“Homeland” season 2 will premiere Sunday, September 30 on Showtime.
