Earlier this week, the British Film Institute screened "Asylum of Daleks," the first episode from the upcoming seventh season of "Doctor Who." But fans in America will have their chance soon enough.

BBC America has announced that the U.S. premiere screening of "Asylum of Daleks" will take place on Saturday, August 25 at 6pm in New York City. Series stars Matt Smith and Karen Gillan will be on hand with "Doctor Who" producer Caroline Skinner for a Q&A session after the episode.

Tickets for the event will be 11 cents, as a symbolic nod to Smith's Eleventh Doctor. However, there will also be a one dollar surcharge.

The venue for the "Doctor Who" season 7 premiere event will be revealed tomorrow on the BBC America twitter account, with tickets set to go on sale immediately after the announcement. The event is also expected to sell out quickly.

Smith recently revealed that he is committed to remaining on the series for at least another season beyond the current one. Back at Comic-Con, we caught up with Smith, Gillan, Arthur Darvil and Steven Moffatt for some exclusive interviews about the new season.

"Doctor Who" season 7 is expected to debut on BBC America in September.
