An interesting image has popped up online thanks to a user on Ubisoft’s official forums. The image in question, shown below, might be our first look at a reboot of the Prince of Persia franchise, juding by the “POP ZERO” line of text at the base of the image.

Ubisoft has been dabbling in the idea of relaunching the Prince of Persia line ever since the “Sands of Time” trilogy wrapped and the 2008 Prince of Persia reimagining didn’t take off quite like Ubisoft had hoped (I still loved it). This new version of the Prince, assuming that’s what we’re looking at, appears to move the action somewhere around Egypt, maybe, judging by the NPC clothing. The game also resembles Assassin’s Creed, which is another Ubisoft brand that the PoP franchise could probably stand to take some pointers from.

Let us know in the comments if this looks like a relaunch you’d be interested in. And we’ll be back with more Prince of Persia news when we hear it.
