According to the writer’s twitter account, nope.

A large reason why Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City were so good is because writer Paul Dini wrote the adventures. As many of you know, Dini was the co-creator of Batman: The Animated Series and he’s been working on the character through comics, animated films and gaming ever since. It’s an understatement to say he knows his way around the character of Batman.

However, it appears as though Dini will not be returning to script the next adventure in the Arkham-verse, according to the writer’s twitter account.

Dini tweeted, “Kinda hoped I’d be doing another Arkham game in London during the Olympics. Esp, as I had a good source for tx. Ah, well.” The writer followed up with a strict “No” when asked directly by a fan if he would be working on the next Arkham title.

Now we’re stuck playing the waiting game to see who takes over penning the next Arkham title, if it isn’t just handled internally by Rocksteady that is. With the recent rumors of the next game being set during the DC Silver Age and detailing the first meeting between Batman, the Joker and the Justice League, it would have been awesome to see Dini’s take on that set in the Arkham-verse.

But alas, as Dini put it, ah well.
