EA and BioWare aren't quite done with downloadable content for Mass Effect 3. During the EA summer showcase, BioWare revealed the next DLC pack for Mass Effect 3, called “Leviathan.”

The Leviathan DLC has been rumored for some time, but now it’s official and it’s coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC some time this summer.

Here’s the official word on what the DLC will offer gamers:

"Mass Effect 3: Leviathan is the first story-driven, single player DLC to be made available since Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut. Leviathan expands upon the events of Mass Effect 3 with gripping and emotional storytelling, compelling new characters, powerful weapons and unique upgrades. Players will be able to discover more about the origins of the reapers as they race across the galaxy to unravel the mystery that surrounds the fabled Leviathan."

Sounds interesting. What that brief description doesn’t mention is that this Leviathan character is a reaper that went rogue and is still floating around in space somewhere. It becomes the job of Shepard and crew to find it and figure out what it’s doing, for better or worse.

As previously mentioned, the Leviathan DLC will launch later this summer for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. An exact release date was not given. Stay tuned.
