Later this month, "Strike Back" is heading back to Cinemax for another season of crumpets and tea. Actually, there will be no crumpets or tea. And if you believed that for even a second then you really haven't been watching this show.
Hailing from the U.K., "Strike Back" follows a secret British paramilitary unit called Section 20; which tracks down terrorist threats across the globe and eliminates them. After an inaugural season on Britain's Sky network, "Strike Back" was rebooted for Cinemax with Philip Winchester as Michael Stonebridge and Sullivan Stapleton as Damian Scott leading the way. Joining the cast this season is Rhona Mitra (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans), who will play Captain Rachel Dalton, the new commanding officer of Section 20.
Cinemax has released a new trailer for "Strike Back" season 2, with Bob Dylan's newest song, "Early Roman Kings" as the primary musical accompaniment. While the new trailer is a little light on plot details, it once again demonstrates that there are lots of explosions, gun fire and naked people ahead.
Another new Dylan song, "Scarlet Town" will also be played during the closing credits of the first "Strike Back" of the season. Both "Early Roman Kings" and "Scarlet Town" are from Dylan's upcoming album, "Tempest."
"Strike Back" Cinemax Season One is coming to Cinemax Select DVD/Blu-Ray on Tuesday, August 7; with the second season coming to Cinemax on Friday, August 17 with two back-to-back episodes.
