Keith Arem is well known as a video game director who has worked on popular games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Saints Row: The Third, The Amazing Spider-Man and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, and he's now turned his eye for interactive storytelling toward graphic novels, to maximize the potential of the new medium offered by tablet technology.

In a new iPad app called INFEX, he's introducing a new graphic novel series in phases (rather than issues) which allows a great new level of interactivity, bringing music and voice acting to the artwork, creating a very cinematic feel to it. We're talking the talents of the legendary Lance Henriksen, as well as folks like Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt from the splendid web series Shelf Life

Get a closer look with our exclusive sneak peek trailer for the project:

Here's the synopsis blurb about the actual story of INFEX:

Cancer survivor Evelyn “Ivy” Kendall discovers her father’s chemotherapy research contains the secret to ending human disease and is the blueprint for creating genetically engineered monsters. But when her father is murdered for his technology, Ivy is unaware of the lethal mutation he has hidden inside her.  Fifteen years later, her father’s company, IngenBio Corporation, discovers her secret and imprisons Ivy in their underground labyrinth. Assisted by former soldier Garrett Thorne, they must escape the facility and expose the truth about her father’s murder.

Much more about this project will be revealed in the coming days at San DIego Comic-Con, but check out these bits of teaser artwork from the interface of INFEX.
