4th and Goal: The Super Bowl Pt. 2

Taking a shot a four more questions regarding the big game.

What is the key to winning this Super Bowl?

The key to walking out of this SuperBowl a winner will lie on the defensive side of the ball. Both teams come into this game unheralded on that side of the ball so basically, it may come down to the first team to get a stop will win the game. Granted, that's a bit of an overstatement but it's essentially the truth.

What teams unit has to step it up if they are going to win?

As crazy as this sounds, the New England offense will have to step it up if they are going to win. The Pats led the league in points scored per game at 32 but will be at a huge disadvantage this Sunday with their top receiving threat Rob Gronkowski hobbled with an ankle sprain. The more unsung players in the Pats offense, mainly consisting of their stable of rushers, are going to have to make a big impact if the New England is going to be able to keep us with the Giants.

What is the craziest, most repetitive thing brought up the last two weeks in regards to the big game?

I listen to a lot of sports radio and the one thing that has been constantly thrown out there the past two weeks that I shake my head about is that people keeping saying that it's the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady combo that will win the game for the Pats. Excuse me? Is Belichick going to go out there and catch touchdowns or block Tom's blind side.? No, and while I will not downplay the value of a good coach with experience, at this stage of the game, it’s going to come down to team more than anything.

Who is going to win the big game?

I place a lot of stock in the intangibles concerning sports. I think that teams that consider themselves underdogs or have a revenge factor like the Patriots do, have a legit edge going into any game. That being said, I'm siding with the New York Giants in this game. From top to bottom, that team is just more talented and more seasoned. While not the greatest at any area, there is a balance on this Giants team that you don't have in the Patriots. I believe that not only will New York outperform New England in all aspects, I think it will be a blowout.
