Canadian snowboarder Sebastian Toutant “Seb Toots” is headed to the Winter X Games todefend his gold medal in Slopestyle and silver in Big Air- the event takes place January 26-29 in Aspen, Colorado.

Last year Toutant was awarded his first gold medal at the Winter X Games XV. It wasn't his only milestone of 2011 – in April of last year he also landed a triple cork (backside 1440), becoming only the third snowboarder to complete such a tricky manoeuvre (the other two are 18-year-old Canadian Mark McMorris and Torstein Horgmo, a Norwegian professional snowboarder who took the gold last year in Big Air ahead of Toutant).

Toutant is venturing into a new project with this round of the Winter X Games – he has joined forces with O’Neill, the original surf, snow and youth lifestyle brand, for “The O’Neill Experience.” Located at, the online and social media campaign will follow the Canadian-born rider throughout his week at Winter X events, from practice and media appearances to interaction with other athletes and competition. The entire all-access campaign will feature 200 photos and select videos that are updated every day via

Additional behind-the-scenes content will include daily interviews with Seb, footage throughout the Games’ venues, and interviews with fans. The campaign will also feature other O’Neill riders, including popular backcountry snowboarder Celia Miller, 10-year-old skiing phenom Aspen Spora, and David Wise, who will be competing at Winter X in Skier Halfpipe. Additionally, Seb will provide insight into his upcoming competitions, including tricks and strategy. Head cameras and small microphones will be used to offer viewers a more personal perspective.
