The first DLC content drop for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has officially gone live on Xbox Live. The map pack introduces two new maps — “Liberation” and “Piazza” — to the multiplayer experience of Modern Warfare 3, exclusively for Call of Duty Elite subscribers.

Activision plans a constant stream of Modern Warfare 3 downloadable content over the next nine months. Elite subscribers will be able to snag new content every month for the following nine months at no extra charge, while casual Call of Duty players will be able purchase the content drops in bulk starting in March. PlayStation 3 and PC gamers can buy the DLC at a later date as well, most likely when it goes live in bulk shipments, but that isn’t confirmed yet.

So if you’re an Elite subscriber, get on Xbox Live now to download your new MW3 maps. They won’t download themselves, ya know.
