Here are some facts about both games that will make you look like you know what you are talking about.

The NFL Playoffs are the pinnacle of the sports productions and millions of fans, both hardcore and some not so, flock to their televisions with friends to enjoy the best football of the year. If you are one of the hardcore faithful, then you should be secure in your knowledge of the game, if you aren't, well, we got you covered here with some facts about both games that, if used wisely, will make you look more more knowledgeable than you actually are. And let's face it, if you are with your friends, you don't want to look like you don't know what you are talking about. That would be like blood in the water for sharks and you know what that means, they would eat you alive.

 

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots Sunday, 3 pm

*With a win, the New England Patriots will make fifth Super Bowl appearance in 11 seasons.

*Tom Brady matched an NFL postseason record with six touchdown passes last week against Denver.

*Baltimore ranks third in the NFL with 16.6 points and 288.9 yards allowed per game, and it led the conference with 48 sacks.

*New England's passing attack is second in the league with 317.8 yards a game, the Ravens allowed 196.3 yards per contest during the regular season, fourth in the NFL.

*Baltimore beat New England 33-14 in the teams' only playoff meeting on Wild Card weekend on Jan. 10, 2010.

*The Patriots averaged 428.0 yards, second in the league, and their 32.1 points a contest were third.

*New England has dominated Baltimore in the regular season, winning all six meetings.

 

NY Giants at San Francisco 49ers Sunday 6:30 pm

*San Francisco was 6-10 last season, they were 13-3 this year.

*The Giants are the first team to begin the postseason in the wild-card round and win its first two games by at least 17 points.

*Ten of the 12 previous teams to win their first two playoff contests by 17 or more went on to win the Super Bowl.

*The Giants are 4-0 all-time in NFC championships.

*The 49ers had the league's top rushing defense in allowing 77.3 yards per game.

*San Fran tied for the league lead in takeaways at 38.

*The 49ers had the fewest turnovers in the NFL with 10.

*San Francisco is 4-3 in the postseason against New York, which won the lone championship meeting in 1990 at Candlestick to end the 49ers' chances of a third straight Super Bowl title.
