Fantasy Football Focus: Week 13

Just remember, there is always next year.

James LeBeauby James LeBeau

I have a confession to make, this has been one of the worst fantasy football seasons I have ever had. In my two primary money leagues, I have had absolutely no luck getting consistent scoring across the board, even though I had projected good players in both leagues. That goes to show you two things, that even people who breathe this stuff can stumble from time to time and that no matter how good you think you will be, it still comes down to the players playing and that doesn't always go your way. Just keep in mind the oldest and truest sports maxim for those of you in my boat, there is always next year.

Start of the Week: Eli Manning, QB NYG (vs GB)

Eli Manning has been fantasy gold the past few weeks, going over 20 points in four of his last five games and that trend should continue in a game where the Giants will need to score big to get the upset over the undefeated Packers. Green Bay's defense hasn't been stellar against the pass, allowing six opposing QB's to toss for over 300 yards or multiple scores in five of their six road games this year. Eli should make that six of seven.

Last Weeks Results: Andy Dalton, QB, CIN (vs CLE) 16 pts

Top 5 Starts

Matt Moore, QB MIA (vs OAK)

DeAngelo Williams, RB CAR (at TB)

Ryan Matthews, RB, SD (at JAC)

Reggie Wayne, RB, IND (at NE)

Fred Davis, TE, WAS (vs NYJ)

Sit of the Week: Peyton Hillis, RB CLE (vs BAL)

Hillis came back last week from injury and got 19 carries for 65 yards. That's good news for owners of Hillis who have fumed over the backs unreliability. The bad news, however, is that the Browns face the Ravens this week and the Ravens are not known for allowing backs many yards. Even healthy, Hillis should find the running rough this week so don't expect too much from the Madden cover boy.

Last Weeks Results: Jackie Battle, RB KC (vs PIT) 2 pts
