Breaking News coming out of Columbus, Ohio Monday morning as the Ohio State Buckeyes announced former Florida coach Urban Meyer as their new head football coach. Meyer led the Gators to two national championships until stepping down amid health concerns and wanting to spend more time with family. The Buckeyes went 6-6 this season and 3-5 in the Big Ten (Yes, the Big Ten conference that now has 12 teams, not 10),  It's the first time OSU has finished under .500 in the conference since 1999.

And it's a virtual lock in regards to the BCS National Championship game. With LSU's defeat of #3 Arkansas and Bama's big win over rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl, it looks like we'll have a rematch of the #1  Tigers  VS. the  #2. Crimson Tide. The entire game spells D.R.A.M.A. The re-match will take place in New Orleans, just a short bus ride from the LSU campus, It's a re-match with Nick Saban's former team, now hated in Baton Rouge, and the game secures that the SEC Conference will win the National Championship for the 6th straight season. The Tide lost to LSU at home by a score of 9-6 back on November 5th.

Moving over to Syracuse basketball, unfortunately news coming out of the 'Cuse has nothing to do with basketball, as the University has fired assistant coach Bernie Fine. Fine is being charged with multiple acts of sexual molestation with at least 3 separate accusers, including two former 'ball boys.' Over the weekend a legal taped phone conversation recorded in 2002 between an accuser and Fine's wife, exposed many details regarding the coach and led to his demise, losing his job as of  Monday morning. Fine spent 36 years at Syracuse under head coach Jim Boeheim.

And Merry Christmas to us all! Doesn't even matter if you're Christian, on December 25th all NBA fans will be happily receiving a gift, An actual season! The deal is still tentative and needs to be accepted by the Players, but with all reports coming out positive so far, the NBA would hold a 66 game season, beginning with a lineup of games on Christmas day that include Celtics at Knicks, Heat at Mavs and……Drum Roll please…………..the Bulls Vs. Lakers. Training camps and free agency would open on December 9th.
