Good news all you Dead Island fans. Deep Silver and Techland are finally planning to release Dead Island’s first downloadable expansion next week on November 22, 2011. The add-on content, entitled “Bloodbath Arena,” was supposed to launch in mid September, but was pushed back due to Techland polishing up the main game through continual patches.

Bloodbath Arena introduces Survival mode and four maps for it to Dead Island. Survival mode is essentially Dead Island’s version of Horde Mode from Gears of War, where you battle back increasingly more different waves of zombies either solo or cooperatively. The experience and weapons you earn in Survival will also carry over to Dead Island’s main game. In addition, there will also be a built-in leaderboard to track progress.

The DLC is headed to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 22nd for $10 (800 MS Points). However, if you pre-ordered Dead Island you’ll get the add-on for the price of nothing. So, will you be snagging this DLC on launch day, or are you preoccupied with all the other great games currently coming out? Sound off below!
