How Will Tim Tebow rebound from that horrific Detroit game?
OK, nobody can throw enough sugar on Tebow's performance against the Lions last week, it was positively dreadful and nobody is going to swallow otherwise. But, like in baseball, quarterbacks must have a pitchers mentality in that they need to let go of past failures. Tebow can get back on track this week against Oakland. The Raiders are primarily a running team who has been known to turn the ball over a time or two so it's unlikely that they will jump out to a huge early lead. The thing is, however, that for Tebow to have success, the coaches need to game plan a little better. Put him in the shotgun and hurry up the offense, that's the key to a successful Tebow outing.
Will Pittsburgh avenge their week 1 loss to Baltimore?
Pittsburgh's week 1 beatdown by the Ravens was one of the worst I've seen done to the Steelers in a long, long time. A pumped up Ravens squad combined with a rusty, old looking Steelers squad equaled disaster for the black and gold. This week, however, features two teams that are totally different than they were back then. The Ravens find themselves looking up at the Steelers in the standings while they are struggling to find consistency in the offense. On the flip side, the Steelers are starting to click in a way that could end them back in the SuperBowl. Expect Pit to avenge that defeat in a tight game Sunday night.
Can San Diego topple Green Bay?
San Diego has been experiencing some of the most bizarre bad breaks of the '11 season and because of that, they are beginning to get a bad rap as an underachieving team with no upside. Not only do I disagree with their early pronouncement of their demise but I also think they have a great chance to pull off the upset this weekend. The undefeated Packers are a great team to be sure but they aren't that great on defense. The Chargers have the firepower to exploit Green Bay's weaknesses and the defense to hold Rodgers to a respectable game. It all comes down to which Phillip Rivers shows up.
Who is the best team in the NFC South?
Record wise, the New Orleans Saints hold a very slim edge on Tampa Bay and Atlanta but if I had to put my money on one of these teams being better than the rest then I would have to pick the Falcons. Atlanta, unlike the Saints and Buccaneers, are a complete team in every phase of the game. They have a gritty defense that can turn it on in every game along with a solid offense that can pound it on the ground as well as move it through the air. Despite a slow start, the Falcons have played themselves back into contention in their division and with a strong finish, can (and will) make it back into the playoffs.
