We're not sure how we missed this, but over the weekend the excellent video game website Kotaku found the first footage of Takashi Miike's Phoenix Wright movie on YouTube. As you will see from the footage, it premiered on a Japanese television series which, like many American television series that premiere movie footage, is dominated by people talking over the action. (I'm looking at you, Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood.) It all adds to a bizarre nature of the footage, which appears to be an incredibly faithful adaptation of the of the hit video game series about a young lawyer who takes on very strange cases, and really likes yelling "Objection!"
CraveOnline will be back with more Phoenix Wright movie news, since apparently it rules. Over rules.
