T.G.I.M.! #130

Starting with Chiefs vs. Chargers tonight, there's a big week ahead in sports.

After another fun filled weekend of extremely entertaining sports delicacies, we get about five minutes to catch our breaths and savor the highlights before entering another week filled with football games on TV every night. Isn't Monday great!

The sports week kicks off with a pivotal AFC West showdown between the Chargers and the Chiefs. With only one game separating them in the standings, this game is going to prove huge in both the short term and for playoff implications. We then get a solid slate of college games to wet the whistle throughout the rest of the work week, nothing too juicy though, think off it as the appetizer before the main course.

That main course, of course, comes this weekend as college delivers a prime-time game between the top two ranked team in the country, LSU and Alabama. Normally you only get this in the BCS Championship game but because the sports gods are kind, we get it in the first week of November.

To finish off another great week of sports, we get a whole Sunday of NFL games, topped off by one of the greatest rivalries currently going in sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers vs the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens whipped Pit pretty thoroughly in week 1 but since then you could argue that the Steelers have been improving while the Ravens have been struggling to find their identity. Now, with the division on the line, these two teams will face off in a battle that will be sure to rock the stands.

With a week like this ahead of us, who's going to worry about a little thing called work?
