Last week, Section 20's top operatives, Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) and Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) caught up with former IRA terrorist, Daniel Connolly (Liam Cunningham) and they prevented him from escaping with a hidden WMD. However, Connolly had captured their colleague (and Stonebridge's not-so-secret lover) Captain Kate Marshall (Eva Birthistle) and he had strapped her to a bomb that was beyond their ability to defuse.
Connolly offered to remotely defuse the bomb if Stonebridge let him go, but he immediately reneged on his promise and let Kate die in a violent explosion. Although Scott, Stonebridge and Section 20's leader, Col. Eleanor Grant (Amanda Mealing) ultimately caught up to Connolly and took their revenge, the damage was done. And the vicious terrorist, Latif (Jimi Mistry) was still free to pursue his goal of using WMDs against Western countries.
In our exclusive preview scene (courtesy of Cinemax), Stonebridge and Scott attempt track down Latif's weapons supplier, Gerald Crawford (Iain Glen); who proves to be a more formidable foe than they would have expected.
Former "Lost" star Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje makes his "Strike Back" debut in our second preview clip of the week as Tahir, a brutal militia leader who warns his latest hostages that they shouldn't "antagonize" his men.
Meanwhile, our third clip follows Section 20 as they attempt to decide how to deal with Crawford and if they should attempt to extract Crawford's daughter, Clare (Laura Haddock) from Tahir's custody.
Finally, Scott and Stonebridge find themselves badly outgunned by Tahir's men in the last clip of the week. And it looks like this may be one fight that they can't win with firepower alone…
Don't miss the fifth episode of "Strike Back" this Friday night on Cinemax!
