It's not too late to get in on the glitz and glamour known as Montreal Fashion Week – the event kicked off on September 6th and runs until the 10th with its 21st edition, presenting the latest and greatest looks for the spring/summer 2012 season.
Held at the Bonsecours Market in Old Montreal amongst the cobblestone streets and historic churches and shops, MFW boasts some of the biggest designers as well as the city's brightest local fashion stars with a jam-packed schedule of shows. While the majority of these presentations are not open to the public (and are reserved for industry and media), Montréal Fashion Week is granting access to the public to five exclusive fashion shows in collaboration with ELLE Québec. All funds raised by this event will go toward supporting creativity and promoting creators throughout various platforms in the fashion industry. This year's MFW and Elle shows include collections from Travis Taddeo, Dimitri Chris, LABEL Europe, DUY, and the Iris Setlakwe Collection.
A few upcoming presentations still on the bill that shouldn't be missed include tonight's shows by Mulcair, DUY, Samuel Dong, Zenobia Bawa, Rohen Chen, Simon Chang, and Second. Tomorrow fashionistas can check out looks by !NU by Vickie, Andrew Floyd, the Iris Setlakwe Collection, and Bijoux Caroline Neron. And every night, guests can visit the cocktail lounge for makeup touch-ups by P&G Beauty, hair styling by Rowenta Beauty as well as the Rowenta red carpet where you can have photos taken at their booth.
