Day 1 Coverage

Original Story: In just two short days we’ll be in downtown Seattle, Washington in the Washington State Convention & Trade Center for PAX Prime 2011. Our flights are booked, our suitcases are packed with an excessive amount of flannel shirts and our Nirvana and Pearl Jam mix tapes are cued up and ready to rock. We are absolutely stoked for three days of gaming bliss from Friday, August 26th through Sunday, August 28th.

In the past we’ve approached PAX with an intense, back-to-back schedule of appointments to make the rounds to nearly every gaming company on the planet. We’re doing things a bit different this time around. We’re keeping our schedule relatively light so we’re free to wander the convention floor at our leisure and really soak in everything PAX has to offer. Because when it comes down to it, we’re fans of gaming just like everyone else attending the convention. Call us selfish, but we want this event to feel like a vacation, not work. That’s right, we want to have our cake and eat it too!

But don’t worry, we’re not going to just publish a single hands-on preview and then pad our coverage with a bunch of cat videos (that pitch was immediately shot down, unfortunately). We still have intentions to bring you a whole lot of event coverage ranging from news, interviews and hands-on previews with games such as Halo Anniversary and Borderlands 2. And since PAX is a fan-centric show, we also have a few special video features in mind that involve the general public, which will surely tear down the walls of the Internet, or so we hope.

So if you can’t make it out to Seattle for PAX Prime this year, we’ve got your back. All you need to do is head straight through the link below to get to our specialized PAX Prime hub page, sponsored by NOS, which will keep you up to date with all the latest happenings from Seattle over the course of this coming weekend.
