On last week's episode of "True Blood," the witch called Marnie (Fiona Shaw) was completely taken over by the spirit of Antonia (Paola Turbay), a powerful witch wrongfully raped and killed by vampires over 400 years before.
Realizing that Antonia represented a major threat to all vampires, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) ordered his subjects to restrain themselves with silver to prevent Antonia's spell from forcing them out into the sun. Bill even warned his rival, Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard); who had Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) by his side when the spell struck.
However, not every vampire was as lucky. Bill's vampire progeny, Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) broke free from the silver and opened the mansion doors to the blinding sunlight. Maxine Fortenberry (Dale Raoul) also witnessed one of her neighbors commit unwilling suicide by walking outside during the day.
In the first of three newly released preview clips, Bill interrupts Maxine's interview with the local news to offer his own spin on the events in a well crafted play to gain sympathy.
As one of the participants in Antonia's new coven, Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley) is stunned to learn that Antonia plans nothing less than a vampire genocide in the second of this week's clips.
And finally in the third clip, the Shreveport werewolves led by Marcus Bozeman (Daniel Buran) learn about the coming conflict between the vampires and the witches and Marcus makes a decision about how to proceed. If you're watching this clip at work, be aware that Marcus' language here is NWS and contains many F-bombs.
HBO has also released a synopsis for this week's episode and a preview trailer.
Bill and Marnie get ready for an open confrontation. The King secures the loyalty of Sookie and Eric. Jason is conflicted emotionally. A spirit manipulates Lafayette for its own purposes. Sam must deal with Marcus who just happens to be Luna's ex.
