The Darkness II Delayed into 2012

It's going to be a little while longer before you get a chance to continue the adventures of Jackie Estacado.

Here’s some depressing news for those looking forward to playing Digital Extremes’ The Darkness II this year. It’s not happening. 2K Games has issued a press release stating that The Darkness II will now release on February 7, 2012 in North America, February 10, 2012 internationally. The game was originally slated for October of 2010.

But to cushion the blow, 2K Games has announced that The Darkness II will have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con this week. Firstly, there will be a special panel featuring The Darkness II, entitled “Spreading the Darkness: From Comic Book to Video Games and Entertainment.” This panel will feature Darkness co-creator Marc Silvestri, President and COO of Top Cow, Matt Hawkins, developers from Digital Extremes and Mike Patton, the voice of the Darkness in the video game world. The panel will take place on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 12:00pm PST in Room 9 of the convention center. In addition, there will be eight demo kiosks for The Darkness II at the Top Cow booth (#2629) for you to get your hands on the title.
