If you signed up for the beta of Call of Duty Elite, you might want to keep your eyes glued to your email inbox. There’s a slight chance you could find a golden ticket inside. Activision has sent out a notice to let everyone know the beta for Call of Duty Elite is now live on Xbox 360 and invites are rolling out and will continue to disperse over the next few weeks.

Players who are lucky enough to get invites will be able to enjoy Elite with Call of Duty: Black Ops. This beta event will test select features such as stat tracking, the use of custom player groups, competitive events and video sharing so all the kinks are worked out before Elite officially launches alongside Modern Warfare 3 in November.

For anyone outside the loop, Call of Duty Elite is essentially a hub domain for everything Call of Duty related. It’s a way for Activision to establish a Call of Duty community culture that unifies every Call of Duty title under one umbrella. If you want to know more about Elite, why don’t you watch this obnoxious infomercial.

If you’ve already received your beta invite, congratulations. If you’re still waiting patiently for that new email chime, god speed. Remember, invites will be rolling out steadily over the next few weeks. As much as it may pain you, you’ll survive just a little bit longer without access to Elite.
