Capcom and Namco have sent over two new trailers for their upcoming mega team-up fighting game, Street Fighter X Tekken. As the title implies, the game pits the fighters from the Street Fighter universe against those from the Tekken universe. Capcom showed off the title this past weekend at the company’s Captivate event in Miami. Street Fighter X Tekken was announced back in July of 2010, so it's been a while since we got a solid update on progress.
The first trailer is strictly a CGI affair. This is the cinematic trailer for Street Fighter X Tekken, featuring a tag-team battle between Ryu and Ken versus Kazuya and Nina. For some reason, everyone seems to have some watery substance pouring from their pores at all times. Whatever, the effect looks pretty cool, even if it’s highly implausible.
This second trailer marks your first look at the gameplay of Street Fighter X Tekken. This video also manages to confirm a few more characters for the fighter’s roster. Expect to see Guile, Abel and Chun-Li from the Street Fighter side of the ring, while Marduk, King and Bob will be defending the honor of the Tekken franchise.
