Capcom is pulling out all the stops for their 15th anniversary celebration of the Resident Evil franchise. Today the company has released a brand new retrospective trailer that covers 15 years worth of scares, viruses, zombies and roundhouse kicks from the franchise’s later years. But the trailer doesn’t dwell entirely on the past; it also looks to the future of the Resident Evil series. In the trailer you get your first video look at the HD remasterings of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, as well as more teasing towards the upcoming Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

This trailer is a trip down memory lane for me. The first Resident Evil is the game that got me to pick up the original PlayStation. Up until that point I was strictly a Nintendo fanboy. But after I saw that first cutscene with the zombie turning his head, mouth dripping with blood, I was hooked. I've been a diehard fan of Resident Evil ever since. It's good to see the franchise is still truckin'.

Enjoy the trailer!
