Last week we told you about the Electrospective project, wherein Jason Bentley – famed music director at KCRW-FM (89.9) – co-presented a party celebrating a new compilation at Hollywood's AV Nightclub. The radio personality is set to boost the EDM presence on-air by hosting a one hour radio series chronicling the electronic music catalog of EMI Music, Mute, Virgin, and Astralwerks.
In the span of 15 hour-long episodes, Bentley plans to feature interviews with "electronic music visionaries," producers, and DJs including Paul Oakenfold, Steve Angello (Swedish House Mafia), Miike Snow, Daniel Miller (founder of Mute Records), Steve Aoki and more.
In a CraveOnline exclusive Q&A session, Bentley shares valuable insights on the music world today, specifically the danger of pop and its label-driven profit motives, as well as the value of EDM culture in today's world. Check out the full interview below!
