Watch: Muse Battle Cops, Find Love in Revolution in ‘Madness’ Video

The soundtrack to the revolution is apparently a dubstep-laced minimalist song. Somehow, it works.

Matt Bellamy wrote Muse's new dubby-vibe track "Madness" after a falling out with his wife Kate Hudson, but you wouldn't be able to derive the marital-spat origins from the band's new video for the impressive minimalist track, which you can watch below.

The official video for the first single from The 2nd Law, directed by Anthony Mandler, depicts a chaotic riot scene in the subway, wherein civilians have turned on their oppressors and are battling police in riot gear. An affectionate couple is caught in the midst of it all, an indicator of love's transcending power as the batons are swung and the fists fly.

"Madness" is on Muse's upcoming album The 2nd Law, out October 2nd. Pre-order The 2nd Law here and get two exclusive free videos.
