Los Angeles based rock 'n' soul band The Diamond Light has come a long way from the days of playing together in bars with their parents throughout high school, stepping into their own as SoCal imports with a particularly arresting sound that's a breath of fresh air in the muck of ubiquitous musical trends.
After two EPs, 2009's Krotona and 2010's Seeds in the Street, the band cut their touring teeth with extensive dates around Southern California and the Pacific Northwest, their electric live performances fueling a rapidly growing fan base. Now The Diamond Light has teamed up with multi-instrumentalist/singer Trevor Menear and to give flight to their first full length record. Returning producer Joseph Holiday and new friend/recording guru Niko Bolas (Neil Young, My Morning Jacket) helped transform their Laurel Canyon rehearsal space into a fully operational recording studio, to form The Diamond Light's debut full-length record – which is due in late September.
While we wait for the big arrival, CraveOnline is proud to present a special performance by the band, covering an all-time classic. Watch as the band takes hold of The Creedence Clearwater Revival gem "Run Through The Jungle" and make it their own aboard a bus.
Additionally, the band will be hosting a residency at exclusive LA venue Harvard & Stone every night in September.
We'll keep you posted on the album release as the time draws near – in the meantime, keep up with the band at the following links:
