Austin City Limits Reveals Set Times, Schedule

With one gigantic exception, the scheduling conflicts at this year's ACL are mercifully minimal.

Sure, it's three months away, but the full schedule and set time run down for each day of the 2012 Austin City Limits festival has been made public for attendees' viewing and planning pleasure! With Neil Young, Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Shins, Alabama Shakes, Tegan and Sara, Gary Clark Jr, M83, Childish Gambino and many (many) more, it's bound to be a fantastic musical weekend.

Sure, it may be difficult for some to decide between Weezer and Florence & The Machine on Friday night, or The Shins vs. The Roots, who will be playing at the same time on Saturday, but overall the conflicts are relatively minimal on the three-day sprawling schedule – with one exception. Neil Young and Jack White are pitted against each other in headlining slots on Saturday, creating an impossible choice between legends old and new for festivalgoers who actually have enough taste and common sense to realize that these two artists are the entire centerpiece of the remarkable long-running festival.

I'm not looking forward to this decision. It looks like time will have to be split between them, somehow. While I cope with the news, check out the full Austin City Limits schedule and see how your weekend's going to shape up. And if you haven't bought tickets yet, you're pretty far up shit's creek due to the fact that the entire fest is already sold out.
