Pick up a very special USB skull with melted chrome on top - a little Game of Thrones imagery for the holiday spirit!

Happy Halloween! The Flaming Lips are currently celebrating the most ghoulish of holidays by streaming their brand new 24-hour song "7 Skies H3". You can listen over at flaminglipstwentyfourhoursong.com. Somebody somewhere is losing their mind with excitement at the prospect of spending an entire day listening to new Flaming Lips music – if that somebody is you, congratulations!

The 24-hour song is for sale as well, on a hard drive encased inside an actual human skull topped with chrome drips (pictured above). It's gonna cost you, however; the Flaming Lips are selling exactly 13 of them for $5,000 each.

"7 Skies H3" is the latest in a long line of outside-the-box releases for the proudly weird group. Earlier this year they released an EP on a USB stick encased within an edible jelly skull.

Frontman Wayne Coyne has long stated that the group wanted to break from the traditional album-based releases, and instead issue new songs as they're completed, with an endless array of options for physical release.
