Let’s all talk about this baffling story that has been buzzing in Norway and has made its way over here to America.
A journalist named Johan Slattavik decided to share a photo he took on a bus to a private Facebook group called “Fatherland first,” an anti-immigration Facebook group. The photo was then captioned with this question: “What do people think of this?”
Take a look at the photo below that was shared after screenshots from the original post was shared by Sindre Beyer.
Need a closer look? Here you go.
Those are not six women wearing burqas, there are literally just empty bus seats. And yet idiots on that Facebook group didn’t notice as they were too busy writing comments like these:
“It looks really scary, should be banned. You can never know who is under there. Could be terrorists with weapons.”
“Get them out of our country … Frightening times we are living in.”
Slattavik told the Washington Post that he “laid out the photo to see what would happen,” adding that he was shocked so many people fell for it. “I ended up having a good laugh,” Slattavik said.
It should be known that Norway is actually considering banning “face-covering Muslim veils” in schools.
