It Appears Dancing Pikachus Are More Heavily Guarded Than The President

GO! GO! GO!

You won’t be getting anywhere near these Pokémon, much less catching ’em all. God help the man or woman who actually attempts to attack one of these furry creatures.

At least, that was our takeaway from the following video from the Pokémon World Festival in Songdo, South Korea. In it, a group of dancers in Pikachu outfits perform a series of choreographed numbers worthy of a Bruno Mars halftime show (OK, maybe not, but “Uptown Funk” is played at one point). Anyways, at around the 1:15 mark, things go horribly, horribly wrong. Or at least, that’s what you would assume by the sheer amount of Secret Service-esque agents who rush in to pull one of the dancing rodents out of the spotlight when their costume begins to malfunction and deflate.

Dancing Pikachu Deflates As The Calvary Rushes In

A little on the dramatic side, don’t you think? But then again, the show must go on (and does with flawless precision). Heck, the crowd is barely phased, proving that whatever they are paying the seven men responsible for rushing to Pikachu #14’s aid isn’t nearly enough.
