‘The Simpsons’ Predicted Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl Performance 5 Years Ago

They just keep on predicting stuff correctly.

I don’t know what Matt Groening and his writers are on, but apparently they can easily see into the future.

Just like Groening and his writers predicted 16 years ago that Donald Trump would be President of the United States, it seems like The Simpsons have once again predicted something way before it actually happened in real life: Lady Gaga performing at the Super Bowl.

Sure, Lady Gaga did a great job with the halftime show, but people on the internet were quick to point out that in a Simpsons episode titled “Lisa Goes Gaga,” Lady Gaga actually performs while flying over concertgoers tethered to a helicopter.

Here’s the screenshot of that episode.

Now here is last night’s performance.

It even looks as if the outfit Gaga wore is similar to what the animated version of herself had on in 2012.

And of course, people rushed to Twitter to point all this out.

You can even check out the similarities here.

Then again, maybe Gaga just copied her own animated performance. Who knows.
