A man who was visiting a restaurant in Manchester, N.H. didn’t feel like paying his food and bar tab when it was delivered to him, so he decided to skip out. The North Carolina resident took off outside and it looked like he was going to make a clean getaway before he made an attempt to hop a fence with spikes on top.
The 30-year-old genius came down at full force on one of the spikes and impaled his leg. The Manchester Fire Department was notified about the incident (probably by the man himself, who was completely coherent the entire time) and rushed to the scene.
“He was actually in pretty good shape. He was texting and making phone calls. He was very cooperative,” said Lt. Max Chiasson. Eight firefighters worked together using saws, cutting tools, and a cutting wheel to get through the fence.
The man, along with a full 18 inches of the fence, was transported to the hospital where he was told how lucky he was since the fence missed major arteries, ligaments, and bones. He has since been reported in stable condition.
We can’t wait to see what this guy does when he gets the hospital bill.
