Bio

Not much is known of  actress Sarah Allen's childhood besides the basics. For starters, she was born in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada in 1980. Her love of acting soon began to blossom after enrolling in the Youth Theatre program at Capitol Theatre. During her time there, she performed in productions of many popular shows including "Trixie True," "Teen Detective" and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." While she would eventually move on to become a successful television and film actress later in life, her initial stage experience stuck with her as she continued to star in shows like Shakespeare's "A Winter's Tale," "Metropolis Noir," "Not Quite the Same" and "Powers and Gloria" through the years.

Getting back to Sarah's rise to fame, after high school she applied to the acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. It took two tries before she was even accepted to the prestigious school. Once in, however, she honed her acting craft to a point where she was landing roles on television almost immediately upon graduation in 2002. Several TV movies later, she was cast in a small role in her first feature film "Secret Window" in 2004.

Although Sarah acting career now spans over a decade with over 30 television and acting credits to her name, she is probably remembered most fondly as vampire Rebecca Flynt from the SyFy channel series "Being Human." While having only done 10 episodes of the series, it was still the most exposure most people in the United States had to the sexy blonde actress despite starring on numerous series such as "Jozi-H," "19-2" and "Remedy" for much longer than her run on the science fiction drama.
