Sara's interest in acting only grew from there, as during her time studying general arts at the University of Alberta, she made her professional stage acting debut in George Orwell's "1984" during the Teens at the Turn Festival at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre. She was 18 at the time. While she had been considering a major in journalism, she decided instead to leave university at age 19 in order to pursue her real dream of acting in Vancouver. This lead to her graduating from a year-long screen acting program at Vancouver Film School in 2007.
Within a year of graduation, Sarah landed her first official screen role in the TV movie "Paparazzi Princess: The Paris Hilton Story." She played Paris' older sister Nicky in the film. Since then, her television acting resume has grown astronomically, having gone on to star as a lead or recurring character on series including "Primeval: New World," "The Vampire Diaries," "Hell on Wheels," and "Remedy." She has also played roles in numerous TV movies like "Taken in Broad Daylight," "Hannah's Law" and "Garage Sale Mystery," often garnering critical praise for her performances.
