Olivia Cooke is a British actress probably best known for her role as Emma Decody on the A&E series “Bates Motel.” She is not active on social media. As for not being on Twitter, she said, “I think it’s best for me not to have it because my first thought is never my best; my first reaction is never my best reaction.”
As a girl, Olivia Cooke was active in ballet and gymnastics. She began acting when she was 8 at an after-school drama program. By the time she was 14, she’d landed her first agent. Subsequently, she was hired for a few commercials. In 2012, she was seen in the One Direction “Autumn Term” tour video as a student who gets a piggyback ride on Harry Styles.

She was trained at the Oldham Theatre School. When she graduated, she landed a part on the BBC mini-series “Blackout.” She later landed gigs in “The Quiet Ones" and “The Secret of Crickley Hall.” She will be seen soon in the feature “Ouija.”
As for her role in “The Quiet Ones,” Olivia Cooke said, “I used to care more about my appearance, but after being in [the film] and seeing how grotesque I can be, I don’t have any dignity anymore.”
As far as being scared during horror movies, she said, “I used to [be scared], but when I watch a film now I’m kind of, ‘I know how they did that.’ It’s just kind of ruined it for me! I do love watching my friends sh*t themselves though.”
She added in a separate interview that she would like to explore other genres as an actress. “You can only do so much horror before you are branded as a horror scream queen.” As for her belief in the paranormal, she said, “I’m open to it, but nothing ever happens to me. Until it happens – I have to see it to believe it.”
As for her success in Hollywood, Olivia Cooke said, “I never thought this would happen. People always said to have a plan B, but acting is what I’m good at.” In an interview with cinemovie.tv, she said she finds it strange when people she went to school with become awkward around her.
Though she works in Los Angeles, Olivia Cooke said, “I refuse to get a place there. I don’t want to live there. It’s really nice to work there and have that but I don’t want the novelty to wear off. I don’t want to get used to that and I don’t want to become affected.”
