Meta Golding is a Haitian-American actress best known for her role as Enobaria in "The Hunger Games" movie series. She is also a former professional Italian national figure skater.
Meta Golding is not what you would calla traditional actress by any means. Sure, she went through all the same training one would need to go through in order to do well in the profession, but the way that she wound up becoming a professional actress was roundabout to say the least.
Meta was born in Haiti to a Haitian mother and an American father. At the time, her father was running an aid organization out of India, and met her mother while visiting Haiti. Meta was born back in India. Due to an upbringing of her parents working for food relief organizations and the United Nations, she traveled the world as a child, residing in India, Haiti, France Italy, and Senegal along the way. As a result, she can also speak four languages: Italian, French, Creole, and English.
You might wonder why someone who lives such an interesting life would then want to become an actor, and you would be right to. Interestingly, however, this was not Meta's initial career choice, as she first tried her hand at professional ice skating while living in Italy. In fact, she even made the national team, but an injury sidelined her from the sport. Hence, a movie star was born.
After her injury, Meta moved to the U.S. to attend Cornell University to attain a degree in Theatre Arts and International Relations. This move put her on the fast track to superstardom. By 2013, she had starred in over a dozen films and TV series, with the most famous role being that of Enobaria in "The Hunger Games" series.
