Hayley Orrantia is an American actress and singer/songwriter. She is most famous for portraying Erica Goldberg on the ABC comedy sitcom "The Goldbergs."
Sarah Hayley Orrantia, who now goes by her middle name, was born in Arlington, Texas on February 21, 1994. Having grown up near Grand Prairie and Highland Village, she eventually graduated from Edward S. Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. Of course, by that time she was already much more successful than your average teenager. In fact, she began her professional singing career at age 13, winning the Texas Music Project Lone Starz Rising competition for the State Fair of Texas 2008. The following year, she served as an ambassador for the organization.
By 2011, she took her love of both music and performing a step further when she entered the reality show competition "The X Factor." Grouped with several other aspiring solo artists such as herself and given the name Lakoda Rayne, they wound up being the final musical group to be eliminated from the competition, making it to the top nine overall.
Such exposure wound up doing big things for Hayley's acting career, believe it or not. The very same year as her "The X Factor" appearance, she was cast in the independent film "Cooper and the Castle Hills Gang" which wound up premiering at the Dallas International Film Festival. Of course, two years later is when her Hollywood aspirations really hit new heights when she cast on the ABC comedy series "The Goldbergs." From there, she eventually went on to star in the sequel to the popular religious drama "God's Not Dead 2," leaving her career wide open for further success.
Hayley's favorite color is purple. She considers herself a hopeless romantic, and very much enjoys visits to Cancun, Mexico, as she is part Mexican herself. She is afraid of spiders, tornadoes and, oddly enough, the dark.
