Gina Holden is a Canadian actress and former model. She is best known for her appearances in films such as "Saw 3D: The Final Chapter" and "Final Destination 3" and TV series including "Blood Ties" and "Flash Gordon."
Gina Holden was born in the small mountain town of Smithers in British Columbia, Canada. As someone who both knew she wanted to be a performer from a very young age and whose family moved a great deal growing up, she would do whatever she could to remain active in both school and community performances no matter how short her stay would be in any location. Of course, prior to discovering her passion for acting a bit later in life, Gina's youth was spent studying dance. While she focused mainly on classical ballet training, she also dipped her toes, so to speak, in other styles such as tap, modern and musical theater.
At the tender age of 15, Gina was scouted by a modeling agency and whisked away to Japan, where she would spend time both gracing numerous magazine covers and getting to know the language and culture of the country better. She enjoyed her time there so much that she still considers it a second home. Of course, like all good things, eventually her modeling there came to an end and she made her way back to the U.S. By that time, she was ready to go to college and during that time found herself becoming much more interested in the performing arts. It was through her acting classes and determination that she was finally able to land her first role in the TV movie "Roughing It" in 2002.
Once she was able to establish herself as a television actress, Gina began to set her sights even higher. By 2006, she landed a role in the direct-to-DVD sequel "The Butterfly Effect 2," and a year later made her big screen debut in "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem." From there, it was simply a matter of staying the course. While she continues to spend her free time on activities like dance and theater, her TV and film career continues to thrive. She has gone on to star in quite popular films like "Saw 3D: The Final Chapter" and "Final Destination 3" and with her can-do attitude always driving her onward and upward, success never seems too far behind.
