Cassidy Freeman is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her roles as Tess Luthor on "Smallville" and Walt Longmire's daughter Cady on the A&E/Netflix series "Longmire."
Cassidy Freeman was born on April 22, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois to two of the cities prominent attorneys. Along with her two older brothers Crispin and Clark, she split time between the Windy City and the cattle ranch in Montana that her parents also owned. Also like both of her big brothers, she got into the field of the performing arts at an early age, getting her first taste of performing in front of a crowd at just three years old.
After graduating from the Latin School of Chicago, Cassidy got her degrees in both Theater and Spanish from Middlebury College in Vermont in 2005. On top of that, she also graduated Magna Cum Laude. By 2006, she had landed her first acting role in the short film "Razor Sharp" which went on to be named "Best Action Film" at the 2007 Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival and paved the way for her first ever series regular role on The CW series "Smallville" from 2008 to 2011. Since then, she has gone on to play recurring roles on series such as "The Playboy Club," "The Vampire Diaries" and "Longmire."

Along with hobbies including dancing, hiking and quilting, Cassidy has also proved herself to be quite the young philanthropist. She's used her star status as a means of raising awareness for charitable organizations like Heal the Bay, which works to clean up the waters of the West Coast. She has even helped tutor the children of Santa Monica as a volunteer for the Virginia Avenue Project.
