According to a recent press release that came out from Shaw Media, season 3 of the hit show "Haven" will start up production again in Nova Scotia on April 18th.
Starring American actress Emily Rose ("ER," "Ghost Whisperer"), who plays FBI Agent Audrey Parke, the show profiles the leading lady after she encounters the mysterious underside of Haven where certain people are supernatural in a way that cannot be controlled – and they often hide amongst regular citizens in plain sight. Audrey is not just a relentless, highly trained investigator – she's charming and clever, and she is gifted with unique intuition. In the series, she discovers that she alone is the only one who is qualified to save these people, and she chooses to stay in Haven – not only to unravel the mysteries surrounding these troubled people, but to dig deeper into the unsettling truths about her own history and her ties to this extraordinary place.
"Haven" also stars Lucas Bryant ("M.V.P.," "Faux Baby"), Eric Balfour ("Valemont," "No Ordinary Family"), Richard Donat ("Trailer Park Boys," "Moby Dick"), and John Dunsworth (also a "Trailer Park Boys" alum member and appeared on "The Drunk and on Drugs Happy Funtime Hour").
"Haven" is based on the book "The Colorado Kid," a novella written by famed author Stephen King. Thirteen episodes for season 3 have been ordered by the Showcase Network. It is being produced with the studio Entertainment One (eOne) as well as is co-commissioned by Shaw Media in Canada and globally via Universal Networks International (UNI).
