Football is back and with the Olympics in the books, it's time for America's favorite sport to take center stage again as it heads towards it's opening week.
The first week of preseason, which concludes on Monday night, had it's fair share of surprise performances, but none fit that bill than the show Andrew Luck put on against the St. Louis Rams. On his very first pass, Luck threw a 63 yard touchdown. OK, granted it was a screen pass and the running back did a heavy chunk of the lifting but a TD is a TD. Luck then came back on his third drive and led the Colts on another touchdown drive, this time connecting with Andrew Collie for a 23 yard score. Overall, Luck looked magnificent and may be the real deal, something that should have Colts fans salivating over their morning breakfast before they play again this Sunday.

(NFL) Cincinnati at Atlanta 8 pm FOX-If you were to make a list consisting of teams looking to prove something this season, then the Bengals and the Falcons may be numbers one and two on that list. For the Falcons, they need to show they can actually advance past the first round in the playoffs, and for the Bengals it's about showing that their good 2011 season wasn't just a fluke. It's way too early to tell if either team can improve, but we'll get an early look tonight.

(NFL) Indianapolis at Pittsburgh 8 pm NBC – It's really hard to rate preseason performances because, well, it's just preseason. But the thing is, any way you look at what Colts QB Andrew Luck did against the Rams, it's impressive. This week, however, will be a better test for the young signal caller as he goes up against one of the best defenses in the game in the Pittsburgh Steelers.
